<p>On the borders of Northants and Oxfordshire, Aynho is just 10 mins from the M40 Junction 10 towards Stratford-upon-Avon and Birmingham to the north or Oxford and London to the south. It&#8217;s known as the apricot village for the fruit trees that are commonly grown here and is perfectly pretty, with winding lanes and picturesque limestone cottages surrounded by rolling rural vistas.</p>

<p>Aynho is rather well-heeled, thanks in no small part to the spectacular Aynho Park, a former stately home and now part of the RH (Restoration Hardware) luxury US interiors brand, where you can visit for relaxed outdoor eating on the <a href="https://rh.com/us/en/england/loggia" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Loggia</a> terrace, fine dining in the <a href="https://rh.com/us/en/england/orangery" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Orangery</a>, or drinks in the wine lounge or tea salon.  If you want something a bit less posh but still fabulous, <a href="https://whitehorseks.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The White Horse</a> in Kings Sutton is a lovely foodie pub and restaurant, as is the <a href="https://www.redlionevenley.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Red Lion</a> at Evenley and don&#8217;t miss <a href="https://www.forgecoffee.co.uk/evenley" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Forge Coffee</a> in Evenley village. </p>

<p>There&#8217;s a convenience store in nearby Croughton, supermarkets in Banbury and Brackley, both within easy 15 min striking distance, and large retail chains including an M&amp;S Food Hall at Banbury Gateway for the essentials. It&#8217;s a 15 min scoot to <a href="https://www.tbvsc.com/bicester-village/en">Bicester Village</a>&nbsp;with 160+ shops and restaurants and just a couple of miles down the road in Souldern is the fantastic treasure trove, Burgess Reclamation, where you can buy anything from vintage floorboards to fireplaces and reclaimed bricks, perfect for if you&#8217;re buying a fixer upper. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-health-amp-wellbeing">HEALTH &amp; WELLBEING</h2>



<p><a href="http://www.bodysculpturefitness.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Body Sculpture Studio </a>is a private personal training studio offering a&nbsp;well-equipped functional training gym, as well as an outdoor training space and one to one pilates as well as personal training sessions. Just next door, <a href="https://www.thesynergypractice.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Synergy Practice</a> offers physio and sports therapy as well as personalised training programs and non-surgical aesthetics. Aynho has a weekly wellbeing walking group led by&nbsp;qualified walk leaders with a short two mile walk or a longer route for the more active. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-community">COMMUNITY</h2>



<p>There&#8217;s a thriving village community in Aynho, including a sports pavilion with a 7 acre sports field where you&#8217;ll find a kids playground, cricket club and Tai Chi classes. There&#8217;s also a social dog-walking group, cycling club, running club, gardening club, writers&#8217; group and biodiversity group. </p>

<p><a href="https://www.evenleywoodgarden.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Evenley Wood Garden</a>&nbsp;is an absolute must, a wonderful fairytale garden with a cafe in an open sided wooden chalet that dishes everything up on pretty vintage china.&nbsp;<a href="https://www.thenfordarboretum.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Thenford Arboretum</a> is 15 mins away and <a href="https://www.silverstone.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Silverstone Circuit</a> is a 25 min drive, where you can enjoy world class motorsports and family-friendly festivals. Adrenaline junkies should try out <a href="http://www.skydive.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Hinton Skydiving Centre</a>. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">CULTURE</h2>



<p><a href="https://www.themillartscentre.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Mill Arts Centre</a>&nbsp;in Banbury is a 15 min drive but you&#8217;ll also find top tier theatre half an hour away in Oxford. It&#8217;s also just 45 mins to Stratford-upon-Avon, the home of the <a href="https://www.rsc.org.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">RSC</a>. Several local attractions offer outdoor theatre during the summer months, including Sulgrave Manor and Evenley Wood Garden, which also hosts Giffords Circus during their annual tour. </p>

<p>Noel Gallagher threw a huge, and reportedly rather raucous, party for his 50th birthday here at Aynho Park, with guests including Madonna and Bono. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">COMMUTE</h2>



<p>It&#8217;s under 10 mins to Kings Sutton station or 15 mins to Banbury for the train into Marylebone, which takes around 56 mins. An annual season ticket costs £7,240. It’s around 90 min drive to central London.</p>
