<p>Location wise, it doesn&#8217;t get much more central than Lutterworth, with the convenience of the M1 close at hand and within easy reach of Leicester and Coventry. Yet this buzzy market town boasts plenty of parkland and open spaces as well as a clutch of boutique shops and artisan producers, giving it a bustling and well-heeled vibe.</p>

<p>In town, <a href="https://www.elmspub.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Elms</a> is a super family-friendly pub offering loads of crowd-pleasing pub classics, whilst foodies will love <a href="https://www.crabandcow.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Crab and Cow</a> in nearby Leire. We also love <a href="https://www.karterscafe.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Karter&#8217;s</a> café on Church Street – you can&#8217;t beat the chilli and cheese loaded fries – and the amazing <a href="https://mortonsbistro.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Mortons Bistro</a> just a few minutes up the road in Gilmorton, which has a cosy barn for events, private hire and pop-ups.</p>

<p><a href="https://sweetsistersonline.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Sweet Sisters</a> is a gorgeous traditional sweet shop on George Street where you can stock up on all nostalgic childhood favourites, pick &#8216;n&#8217; mix, handmade chocolates and American candy, as well as crab a pretty decent Belgian waffle and ice-cream whilst the little ones hang out in the play area. Need to add some personality to your new gaff? <a href="https://www.lutterworthantiques.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Lutterworth Antiques</a> is a one-stop shop for interiors, furnishings and salvage. </p>



<p>For groceries, there&#8217;s Waitrose, Aldi and Morrisons, or head up the road to Catthorpe, where you&#8217;ll find freshly baked sourdough, veggies, fruit and local produce at <a href="https://manorfarmcatthorpe.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Manor Farm Shop</a> – as well as a lovely tea room. There&#8217;s also <a href="https://www.grazersofashbyparva.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Grazers Farm Shop</a> in Ashby Parva, where you can stock up on grass fed meats and homemade preserves alongside other fresh local produce. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-health-amp-wellbeing">HEALTH &amp; WELLBEING</h2>



<p>There&#8217;s a small hospital offering outpatient care in Lutterworth, which is a huge benefit to the community. For keeping in shape, <a href="https://lutterworthpilates.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Lutterworth Pilates</a> offer Reformer and mat pilates as well as Hatha yoga or, if you want something a bit more hardcore try <a href="https://www.lifthausfitness.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Lift Haus Fitness</a>, which is a fab gym space run by friendly husband and wife team Kev and Anna Rawson, where you&#8217;ll also find space to unwind, socialise and grab a coffee after you&#8217;ve been wrestling with those battle ropes. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-community">COMMUNITY</h2>



<p>Lutterworth Library is a hive of activity in the local community, with activities for children including Saturday Playtime and Wriggly Readers, plus you&#8217;ll find regular craft markets in town as well comedy nights and am dram at the Wycliffe Rooms. </p>

<p><a href="https://www.lutterworthmuseum.org/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Lutterworth &amp; District Museum</a> is a bulging archive of memorabilia and local history, <a href="https://www.skirmishcombatgames.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Skirmish Combat Games</a> do paintball and airsoft for older kids and teens, beautiful <a href="https://stanfordhall.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Stanford Hall</a> is open to the public on certain days, with a calendar of events taking place throughout the year including afternoon teas, classic car events, bushcraft workshops and Christmas tours. </p>

<p>Right on the doorstep, <a href="https://www.kilworthhouse.co.uk/kilworth-house-theatre/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Kilworth House Theatre</a> is set in a magical, wooded glade in the 38 acre estate of Kilworth House Hotel, about 5 mins out of town, and is recognised as one of the foremost open air theatres in the UK, so there&#8217;ll be no shortage of culture here. Head 30 mins north to Leicester for <a href="https://www.curveonline.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Curve</a> theatre, <a href="https://www.demontforthall.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">De Montfort Hall</a> and <a href="https://www.leicestermuseums.org/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Leicester Museum and Gallery</a> and for music there&#8217;s the <a href="https://www.academymusicgroup.com/o2academyleicester/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">O2 Academy</a> or <a href="http://www.themusicianpub.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Musician</a> for edgier artists.</p>

There&#8217;s also a <a href="https://www.kidsplanetdaynurseries.co.uk/find-a-nursery/lutterworth/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Kids Planet</a> day nursery, which is newly opened in 2025, so has no Ofsted rating as yet, <a href="https://www.littlerainbowsnursery.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Little Rainbows</a> nursery and pre-school set in a restored manor house, which is Ofsted rated Good, and <a href="https://www.busybeeschildcare.co.uk/nursery/bitteswell" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Busy Bees</a>, which is located a few minutes out of town in Bittewswell, also Ofsted rated Good.. </p>

<p>Ever been on an jet aeroplane? Invented right here in Lutterworth by Sir Frank Whittle and commemorated with a full seize replica Gloster E28/39 aircraft in the middle of a roundabout. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-commute">COMMUTE</h2>



<p>Leicester city centre is within a 30 min drive and from there you can hop on a train towards London St Pancras, which is just over an hour on a speedy train. An annual season train ticket costs £11,696 and a monthly ticket costs £1,122. Driving to London takes around 2 hrs. Trains also head north towards Nottingham and Sheffield.</p>
