Unity Place, Milton Keynes

A hotspot for co-working, cocktails, street food, events and catch-ups in a multi-floored eco building by the station.

Need a change of scene from the whole WFH thing but with decent coffee and proper wifi? Enter Unity Place, a community hub handily sitting opposite Milton Keynes central train station.

It’s spread across eight floors, each tailored to work or play. The second floor offers a sleek office space – think contemporary design furniture, natural light, potted plants and no clutter. You’ll find a co-working and breakout space to power through your to-do list, private offices, meeting rooms, phone booths and a kitchen.

If you fancy a bit more buzz, try the Santander Work Café with desks and meeting rooms that can be booked for just two hours at a time, plus a super-modern auditorium for an crowd of up to 300.

But it’s not just about work here. On the ground floor, there’s Change Please Tuk-Tuk offering a great selection of pastries, muffins, and hot drinks, and there’s an Urban Food Market hosting a range of street food vendors. There’s a barber’s in the building, plus Smarts Dry Cleaning Services pop up every Tuesday and Thursday.

And for the evening? Unity’s rooftop bar, Unity Sky Lounge, is an absolute Insta hit, serving light snacks, artisan cocktails, ales and sustainably sourced wines. It hosts evening events, so you can pick from sip and paint sessions, Terrarium Workshops, quiz nights, family henna candle crafting, open mic nights and live music – the perfect way to log off from the day.

Finally, if you’re not already 100% sold, they also have a community hall to help you connect with one another through sharing stories, singing groups, and offering support. The building itself is also designed to be planet friendly, with the building running on green energy, using rainwater harvesting, and solar panels. Seriously, this is a place that has it all
