The Priory Pub, Loughborough is perched on the corner of a busy road so it’s pretty hard to miss; the building juts out to the front and features two turrets on either side.

Run by indie pub company Distinctive Inns, they’ve ploughed a substantial amount of dosh into what was once a tatty local pub/restaurant and turned it into a gorgeous gastropub and it seems to have paid off!

The menu combines classic pub grub dishes such as fish and chips and more inventive fare – it changes seasonally but we love the small tapas plates for starters – inspired by world flavours it’s the perfect way to get you started.
