This brand new Birth and Wellbeing Centre is based in a stunning old watermill that dates back to 1664 in Duddington, near Stamford.

Run by Alexandra Constant, a birth and postnatal Doula and a trained mindfulness teacher, the aim is for the centre to become an inclusive local hub, supporting everyone in the local community. Currently, she’s running a range of courses from Practicing Mindfulness, to a Perinatal Trauma Recovery course.

We love the sound of the Mother Blessing Ceremony, a thoughtful idea where friends and family can come together to nurture and support expectant mums and connect on a spiritual and emotional level. A little different to the conventional baby shower, these ceremonies can also be personalised to suit the mum-to-be.

The child-friendly centre will also run activities and days out so young ones can interact with each other while parents can enjoy a well-deserved cuppa and meet other like-minded parents.

The Mill also has nine different rooms which will be used to offer a range of wellbeing services from yoga to complementary therapy, massages to wellbeing classes, reiki therapy and more to be confirmed. Watch this space.
