Originally built in 1594 as a coaching inn, in 2017 Spenny and Tracy (that’s Lord and Lady Northampton to you!) set about reimagining The Falcon as a retreat for rest and renewal with a special emphasis on a connection to nature.

With 22 boutique bedrooms in the main building and adjacent cottage buildings, offering rest and rejuvenation, The Falcon has been styled with natural materials and textures that cocoon and comfort.

As an established and accredited Psychotherapist and qualified Yoga Teacher, it’s given Tracy a real pleasure curating The Falcon’s wellness offerings. With wellbeing at the heart of The Falcon, visitors can immerse themselves in open water swimming, nature walks, bird ringing, yoga classes, meditation, and gong baths.

At the hotel’s stylish Eyas restaurant you can indulge in fine dining from Head Chef Russell Bateman’s expertly curated menus (he worked for several years as Head Chef under Gordon Ramsay, so you’re in good hands), where there’s a strong leaning towards local and sustainable produce. The team work with local farmers, estate gamekeepers and nurseries, using produce that’s grown, harvested and reared from within the 10,500 acre Castle Ashby Estate.

For less formal dining, head for the relaxing and comfy East Wing Lounge for afternoon tea, tipples and small plates. You can also book The Nest for private dining for up up to 16 guests, plus there are meeting and conference rooms available too.
