Mmmm, pizza! Who doesn’t love a classic PizzaExpress? But the pretty Stamford branch is really up there when it comes to gorgeous location and stunning vistas. You can sit out next to the River Welland and make the most of the views on the heated al fresco dining terrace, or inside the elegant and historic honey -toned stone building, which was once the towns’s rather regal Anchor Hotel.

Firm favourites are always on the menu (mine’s a Padana Romano if you please), but you can live life on the edge if that’s your vibe, with new treats coming to the menu all the time and plenty of gluten free and vegan options too. If you’ve got younger kids there are plenty of mini versions to choose from, plus Bambinoccinos, colouring and cute paper hats for the win.

The Stamford restaurant is family friendly and accessible and you can even jump on the wifi of you need to cram in some work on the hoof or if you just really can’t fight the urge to share your chilli prawns on the socials.
