There’s little we love more than having a good nose round someone else’s creative space, but throw in the chance to bring home some unique artworks to keep forever and we are all over it. Northants & Rutland Open Studios – the region’s largest visual arts festival – promotes artists across the county at every level of their careers by helping them to connect with collectors, gallerists and potential buyers – that’s you, BTW.
September 2024 sees a festival of the visual arts in which artists working in all media invite you into their incredible studio spaces to find out how their work is produced, giving them a chance to share what makes them tick and just what goes in to making each individual piece. Fancy having a go yourself? You’ll also be able to catch demonstrations of painting, printmaking and traditional crafts to get you inspired. Plus, make sure you don’t miss the clutch of fabulous group exhibitions to explore at some of Northamptonshire’s most jaw-dropping venues including the spectacular Lamport Hall, 78 Derngate, Boughton House and Yardley Arts.
Check out the eclectic mix of styles and disciplines being embraced by our exquisitely talented local artists – you’ll find painting drawing, sculpture, ceramics, photography, digital media and many more ways of creating and, what’s more, entry to all venues is FOC.
Stay tuned at Northants & Rutland Open Studios for a schedule of events for September’s Open Studios and beyond, coming soon.
