Ember restaurant opened its doors in a stunning double-height former gaslight factory in 2021 and has already taken the gong as Best Restaurant in the 2023 Muddy Awards. Serving up small plates cooked on an open fire as you sit on high stools at the bar, Ember’s creative (and apparently heat-proof) chefs conjuring up their magic right in front of your eyes. Fire roasted padron peppers with a chilli lime mayo, monkfish with embered leeks, barbecued hispi cabbage and smoked pineapple trifle? Don’t mind if we do.

If dining tête-a-tête is a bit more your style there are cosy tables each within eyeshot of the kitchen, so you can experience all the smells and sounds of your food before tasting, plus there are regular live DJ sets to bring a party vibe your Saturday night out.
