Located on Union Wharf marina in Market Harborough and near Foxton Locks, there’s plenty of routes to enjoy for a romantic weekend or a longer cruising holiday and you get a full handover plus, a comprehensive boat safety induction, training on handling the boat and mooring up.

There’s four boats to choose from and all sleep two people plus, four day boats including an electric boat, Water Vole. This day boat seats up to six people and runs entirely on electricity (a big high five on the eco creds).

If you really want to push the boat out (sorry, I couldn’t resist) hire a luxury self-cruise canal boat – think magnificent beds and rainfall showers, bespoke fittings, stylish furnishings, full kitchen, wi-fi, flat-screen tv, central heating – there’s even a wine fridge in some of the boats so you really want for nothing! Overnight self-catering accommodation is also available where the boat remains in the marina at Union Wharf
