<p>After a looong hiatus (far too long), this wonderful country pub re-opened its doors this summer thanks to one of our favourite gourmet power couples, Sarah and David Webster (formerly of The Fox and Hounds in Charwelton). There&#8217;s a great, foodie menu here, but it&#8217;s extra special for the Supper Club events, which are always tailored to celebrate a specific wine or cuisine. In September you can enjoy a six course tasting menu celebrating the wines of Roussillon, which includes wine pairings with four of the courses for £65 per person. Rest assured you&#8217;re in good hands, David was formerly a Sommelier at Le Manoir and his enthusiasm for fabulous and sometimes unusual wines is catching. </p>

<p>Italian food writer and cookery tutor Carmela Sereno Hayes&nbsp;creates authentic food with a passion and understanding of the&nbsp;<em>cucina povera</em>&nbsp;traditions from the south of Italy. A simple and delicious style of cooking whilst using seasonal produce of fruit, vegetables, fish, meat and game. Carmela&#8217;s Supper Clubs, held in the stunning atrium at Northampton Museum, are always a sell out so you might have to go on the waiting list for this one, but keep an eye out for future dates too. £45 per person. </p>

<p>The Coach House is a fine dining pop-up at the home of talented and creative chef Fiona Moseley (Fiona is Insta famous for creating a cake that apparently looked like a boob and was banned from the platform – google it, it’s hilarious). You’ll get five courses with such goodies as beetroot mille-feuille with horseradish ice cream and Wagyu Beef with lovage, onions and black garlic. It’s £76 a head including a welcome drink and canapés but bring along additional drinks. The events usually get booked up months in advance so don’t hang about</p>

<p>A supper club with a difference: you have to forage for your own food. You&#8217;ll start the evening learning what you can forage in the woods, then spend some time learning about wild cooking and fire lighting, followed by a sumptuously seasonal meal (don&#8217;t worry, you don&#8217;t really have to forage it all yourself). Expect a bramble cocktail, mushrooms on toast, butternut squash risotto and hedgerow crumble, followed by marshmallow toasting around the fire and hot chocolate for £30 a head. </p>

<p>Here’s a super-luxe pop-up dining experience with a difference. Award winning chef to the stars Danny Tompkins (he’s cooked for Jay-Z, I mean come on) will create a&nbsp;four course meal using local seasonal produce, served in the Victorian Dining Room, Library and Oak Room at Lamport Hall to celebrate the beginning of the British Game season, with veggie options available too.&nbsp;It’s a four course meal at £75 head. Expect Confit Duck Leg Rillette, Game Bonbon&nbsp;and Pan Roasted Venison Loin, plus a bar and live music on the night.</p>

<p>Bring on the puddings. There are five sweet and savoury courses on the menu and this pop-up pudding club, taking place in the cavernously cool industrial event space that is Duston Mill, plus there&#8217;ll be a DJ spinning the decks for extra vibes. Tuck into autumn chilli, PB&amp;J smores, cheesecake, crumble and a cheesboard for £38 a head (BYOB). Looks like this one is already sold out, but watch out for more events coming up pre-Christmas. </p>

<p>If you haven’t visited the incredible Food Library before, set in the Northampton home of hosts Laura and Michael, then their monthly Dining Club is your chance. It’s a bespoke dining event featuring freshly grown produce straight from the kitchen garden – think nettle ravioli, pistachio and pine nut crusted halibut, homemade preserves and boozy treats such as rhubarb gin and blackberry whisky. Plus you can stock up in their homemade produce shop and become a member to borrow from their collection of over 400 books on growing, cooking and preserving. It’s £60 a head and includes six to eight courses with drinks. <p>She&#8217;s a busy bee this autumn, so be sure to book early for Carmela&#8217;s amazing Risotto evening at The Pop Up Place in November. You&#8217;ll gobble up aperativo, antipasto, primo and dolce at this fabulous evening, all conjured up by the magnificent Carmela, goddess of Italian cuisine (it&#8217;s thanks to Carmela <a href="https://northants.muddystilettos.co.uk/eat-out/restaurants/pasta-making-carmela-sereno-hayes-pop-up-place/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">I can now make actual pasta</a>). Expect stuffed Romano pepper, Risotto Pizzaiola and a dark chocolate and amaretto cake for £35 a head in this gorgeously intimate setting. Brava. </p>

<p>Our favourite foodie pop-up venue is always coming up with something fresh,  and new to Wednesday evenings this autumn it&#8217;s Supper Clubs. You can expect a different theme for each event and first up, praise be, it&#8217;s cheese. Think individually priced small plates with shaved manchego, macaroni and three cheese, tartiflette, whipped goat&#8217;s cheese gratin, platters, cheesecakes and cannoli with recommended drinks pairings, of course. You do not want your tight trousers on for this one. Stay tuned for what&#8217;s up next. </p>
