<p>This seasonal and stylish spot, set within the the renowned Falcon Hotel in gorgeous Uppingham, absolutely nails small plate dining, but what you might not know is that they also serve up fabulous organic wines, British aperitifs and truly fabulous cocktails &#8211; their Manhattan is absolutely knockout (not actually, but if you have two you might be well on the way). If it&#8217;s quiet luxury rather than raucous you&#8217;re looking for, Fern is your place. </p>

<p>It&#8217;s no secret that we&#8217;re rather partial to tucking in to some fancy cheese and wine, which is why we are huge fans of this bijou bar brought to you by the team at&nbsp;<a href="https://vinebud.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Vinebud</a>, at Bell Plantation. It&#8217;s all about about organic wines, interesting whiskies, and locally-sourced cheeseboards, all served in a relaxed and intimate setting &#8211; kind of like being in someones living room.</p>

<p>It&#8217;s all about the cocktails at Muddy Award winning S.O.A.K., a tiny cocktail bar hidden away down a dark jitty in the centre of Loughborough. Though it might not look much from the outside, you&#8217;ll be pleasantly surprised when you step through the door. Bring on the Yuzu Mandarin Sour. </p>

<p>This chic venue nestled in the heart of Quorn offers an extensive range of wines from around the world,&nbsp;with an emphasis on Italy,&nbsp;both to take home and drink in house &#8211; double the fun. There is often live music and you can nibble on sharing boards or arancini to go with your wine and, really, I think the key thing to note here is to ensure that you are not the designated driver. </p>

<p>We don&#8217;t need asking twice to head out in gorgeous Uppingham, but tempt us with a refined cocktails and the extensive wine list at No. 23, a chic bar and restaurant set in a 300-year-old, beautifully restored Grade II listed building, and we are there with bells on.  Pop in for a tipple &#8211; the Pear and Cardamom Sidecar is frankly heavenly &#8211;  and maybe stay for the fabulous food. </p>

And if you&#8217;re not in the mood for wine there&#8217;s cocktails, local beers, and plenty of non-alcoholic options too, plus small plates on offer, with the likes of patatas bravas and truffle fries to keep you going well into the evening. </p>

<p>Unique and painstakingly curated artworks punctuate the interior and exterior of this sophisticated trackside destination – a diamanté studded replica of Ayrton Senna’s helmet sits encased in a glass vitrine and a life size chrome car, like something from a dream, graces the entrance, whilst the interiors have been styled to perfection, with velvet, leather and tweed upholstery, cosy banquettes, intimate tables for two and a relaxed lounge area next to the bar. Talk about Veueve Cliquot with a view. </p>

<p>This chic café and weekend wine bar is all about ambiance and elegance, set in the architectural grandeur of Brackley&#8217;s old Town Hall, there&#8217;s a fantastic selection of wines, cocktails and beers on tap, as well as pizzas, served on Friday and Saturday evenings. It can be tricky to get a table in the evenings, so book ahead. </p>

<p>At the heart of Uppingham, Don Paddy&#8217;s is run by the same people behind the fabulous Fern &#8211; a place to eat or just meet friends for a drink &#8211; it&#8217;s a sort of very posh Irish pub where they serve the most incredible cocktails and aperitivo, with an ever-evolving wine list.
