<p>It&#8217;s an elegant market town built from warm, honey coloured stone. There&#8217;s a sedate village vibe, but it&#8217;s well connected by road and it&#8217;s easy to zoom to London and Oxford. </p>

<p><a href="https://www.m-onthesquare.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">M on the Square</a> is a coffee lounge and wine bar in the beautiful old Town Hall, <a href="https://www.facebook.com/TheOldFireStationBrackley" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Old Fire Station</a> is a friendly café with double height ceilings, plenty of space for remote working and great cakes and <a aria-label="The Flight Deck (opens in a new tab)" href="https://www.turwestonflight.com/flight-deck-cafe/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Flight Deck</a> at nearby Turweston Aerodrome is a popular family eaterie, perfect for weekend brunches and with great views to the runway and we are big fans of the <a href="https://www.redlionevenley.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Red Lion</a> in Evenley for their fantastic pub lunches. </p>

For designer gear, hop in the car for 15 mins to luxury outdoor designer outlet&nbsp;<a href="https://www.tbvsc.com/bicester-village/en">Bicester Village</a>&nbsp;with 160+ boutiques and restaurants.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-health-amp-wellbeing">HEALTH &amp; WELLBEING</h2>



<p>Newly built Brackley Medical Centre is a great facility and there&#8217;s an excellent leisure centre here too. <a href="https://thewellretreat.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Well Retreat</a> has yoga, barre, pilates, tai chi and baby classes as well as a wide range of therapies and counselling. In nearby Fulwell, <a href="https://redbarnretreat.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Red Barn Retreat</a> offers beauty, hair and wellness all under one roof. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-community">COMMUNITY</h2>



<p><a href="http://www.oldhallbooks.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Old Hall Bookshop</a> runs a reading group and <a href="https://www.facebook.com/biteclubevents/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Bite Club</a> is a street food pop up event at Egerton Hall, a fancy newly built community hub and, from the Teddy Bear Festival to the Classic Car show, with a burgeoning population, there&#8217;s always something happening in Brackley. </p>

<p>Silverstone Circuit is a couple of miles away (Force India F1 and Mercedes F1 are both based in town) and you can enjoy all the major motorsports events and family festivals here. <a aria-label="Evenley Wood Garden (opens in a new tab)" href="https://www.evenleywoodgarden.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Evenley Wood Garden</a> is an absolute must, a wonderful fairytale garden with a cafe in an open sided wooden chalet that dishes everything up on pretty vintage china, Giffords Circus is a regular summer visitor here and there are often open air theatre productions too. <a aria-label="Sulgrave Manor (opens in a new tab)" href="https://sulgravemanor.org.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Sulgrave Manor</a> and <a href="https://www.thenfordarboretum.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Thenford Arboretum</a> are both close by.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-culture">CULTURE</h2>



<p><a href="https://www.themillartscentre.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Mill Arts Centre</a> in Banbury is a 20 min drive and Milton Keynes is half an hour by car, where both <a href="https://www.miltonkeynes-theatre.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Milton Keynes Theatre </a>and <a href="https://mkgallery.org/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">MK Gallery</a> are top level. Several local attractions offer outdoor theatre during the summer months, including Evenley Wood Garden and Sulgrave Manor.</p>

<p>There is a whopping amount of development happening on the edge of town at the moment, so new builds are plentiful, though character properties are easier to find in the nearby villages. Detached properties sell for around £452,753, semis for £311,115 and terraced £304,368. </p>

<p>There are a number of Ofsted outstanding state primaries to choose from within striking distance, including St Loys Primary Academy in Weedon Lois, which also has an excellent pre-school attached. <h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-best-kept-secret">BEST KEPT SECRET</h2>



<p>Nearby Juniper Hill is the birthplace of Flora Thompson, author of <em>Lark Rise to Candleford</em>, and is the inspiration for the autobiographical novel.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-commute">COMMUTE</h2>



<p>15-20 mins to either King&#8217;s Sutton or Banbury for the train into Marylebone, which takes around 56 mins. An annual season ticket costs £6,116. It&#8217;s around a 90 min drive to central London. </p>
