Guests at the 2026 Muddy Awards for Northants Leices and Rutland

They came, they quaffed, they partied! The Muddy Award winners brought the sunshine and celebrations to gorgeous gastropub The Plough in Everdon.

Gladrags were donned, stilettos were strapped on, and the English fizz flowed as the local winners of the Muddy Awards 2026 – as voted by you – gathered to celebrate being crowned the ‘best of the best’ across Northants, Leics & Rutland.

The competition was incredible this year. Are you ready for this? Reaching 11 million people nationally, 20,000 businesses were nominated, and half a million votes were cast nationwide! So, to win a Muddy Award (and one that’s entirely based on the public vote at that) is definitely something to shout about, so it was only right the victors had the opportunity to celebrate in style.

And what style. Muddy took over the pub and beautiful garden to celebrate our brilliant local indie businesses. Corks popped satisfyingly and the talented and friendly team at The Plough served up platters of seriously moreish canapés.

After meeting and mingling, it was down to the serious business of toasting! Muddy editor Emma stepped up to thank everyone and toast our brilliant winners.

And then it was time for the official photo ops, glittering certificates in hand. Our girl behind the lens was the peerless Becky Kerr, as wonderful at portraits and candid behind-the-scenes shots as she is at telling brand stories for brilliant businesses.
